La Valette, la capitale de Malte, a \u00e9t\u00e9 construite par les Chevaliers de Saint-Jean sur une p\u00e9ninsule qui ne fait environ qu’1 km sur 600 m\u00e8tres. Elle est en effet petite mais concentre de nombreux sites historiques importants et est class\u00e9e au patrimoine mondial de l\u2019UNESCO.<\/p>\n
Marcher dans les rues de La Valette donne l’impression de parcourir un mus\u00e9e en plein air avec en plus, ses jolis balcons color\u00e9s typiques. Je vous conseille de visiter les jardins d’Upper Barakka perch\u00e9s au-dessus du port. De plus, ne manquez pas la belle cath\u00e9drale Saint John et le Fort St Elmo qui vaut le coup d’\u00eatre visit\u00e9 notamment pour son Mus\u00e9e national de la guerre ainsi que pour sa vue sur le port.<\/p>\n

Les Trois Cit\u00e9s offrent un bel aper\u00e7u de l\u2019histoire de Malte. Vittoriosa ou II-Birgu (coordonn\u00e9es : 35.888320, 14.522595) est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme la plus ancienne fortification de l’\u00eele. La position strat\u00e9gique du fort et de la ville au cours des mill\u00e9naires a conduit certains \u00e0 appeler cette r\u00e9gion \u00ab le berceau de l\u2019histoire maltaise \u00bb. Vittoriosa fut la premi\u00e8re maison des Chevaliers lorsqu\u2019ils arriv\u00e8rent en 1530. De ce fait, elle contient de nombreuses richesses architecturales importantes. Les principaux points d’int\u00e9r\u00eats sont l\u2019\u00e9glise Saint-Laurent, le Palais de l\u2019Inquisiteur, l\u2019imposant Fort St. Angelo et le Mus\u00e9e maritime.<\/p>\n
Faisant aussi partie des Trois Cit\u00e9s, Cospiuca (coordonn\u00e9es \u00a0: 35.881114, 14.521736), \u00e9galement connu sous le nom de Bormla, est la plus grande des trois et se trouve juste en face de La Valette. L\u2019ancien chantier naval s\u2019\u00e9tend le long de la rive de Cospiuca qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 restaur\u00e9 pour devenir une marina. Je vous conseille de voir en particulier la porte Sainte-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne, la ligne de fortifications de Cottoner et la porte Notre-Dame.<\/p>\n
Enfin, Senglea (coordonn\u00e9es : 35.887641, 14.516754) \u00e9galement connu sous le nom de L-Isla a \u00e9t\u00e9 fortifi\u00e9e en 1551 par le Grand Ma\u00eetre Claude de la Sengle. La ville est connue pour ses superbes vues sur le port de La Valette depuis Safe Haven Gardens\u00a0\u00e0 Senglea Point. Cette tour de guet \u00e0 la pointe du bastion, connue sous le nom d\u2019Il-Gardjola, \u00e9tait le poste d’observation pour surveiller l\u2019entr\u00e9e du port.<\/p>\n

Marsaxlokk est un petit village de p\u00eacheurs, c\u00e9l\u00e8bre pour son port rempli de bateaux color\u00e9s. Ces bateaux de p\u00eache en bois sont appel\u00e9s “luzzu” en maltais. L\u2019\u0153il peint de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9 du bateau est une vieille coutume ph\u00e9nicienne qui a pour but de prot\u00e9ger les bateaux du mal. Le port comporte aussi un march\u00e9 aux poissons ouvert tous les dimanches. Pendant les autres jours de la semaine, c\u2019est un march\u00e9 plus touristique qui prend place. Enfin, ne manquer pas l\u2019\u00e9glise paroissiale de Notre-Dame de Pomp\u00e9i du XIXe si\u00e8cle, sur la place principale du village.<\/p>\n

La grotte bleue est une grotte marine longue de 43 m\u00e8tres et profonde d’environ 40 m\u00e8tres, accompagn\u00e9es de six autres grottes successives. Situ\u00e9e pr\u00e8s du village de Wied iz-Zurrieq,\u00a0des promenades en bateau sont organis\u00e9es pour visiter ces grottes, son arche massive de 30 m\u00e8tres de haut et contempler son eau azur par journ\u00e9es ensoleill\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Ancienne capitale de Malte, Mdina est une ville m\u00e9di\u00e9vale fortifi\u00e9e entour\u00e9e de bastions et situ\u00e9e strat\u00e9giquement sur une colline au centre de Malte. Mdina est aussi appel\u00e9e la \u00ab ville silencieuse \u00bb du fait de son atmosph\u00e8re calme et paisible. Lorsque la capitale de Malte a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9plac\u00e9e de Mdina \u00e0 La Valette, elle est devenue une ville presque d\u00e9serte. Mdina compte aujourd’hui environ 300 habitants. Les principaux sites \u00e0 visiter sont : le mus\u00e9e d’histoire naturelle, le palais de Vilhena, l’\u00e9glise et le prieur\u00e9 des carm\u00e9lites, le palais Falzon qui est un b\u00e2timent m\u00e9di\u00e9val bien conserv\u00e9 de 1495 et le spectaculaire palais Santa Sophia.<\/p>\n

La baie de Ghajn Tuffieha et celle de “Golden Bay” sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s parmi les plus belles plages de Malte. Les couleurs cuivr\u00e9es du sable et leurs hautes falaises cisel\u00e9es, en font de magnifiques plage brutes. La Valette, la capitale de Malte, a \u00e9t\u00e9 construite par les Chevaliers de Saint-Jean sur une p\u00e9ninsule qui ne fait environ qu’1 km sur 600 m\u00e8tres. Elle est en effet petite mais concentre de nombreux sites historiques importants et est class\u00e9e au patrimoine mondial de l\u2019UNESCO.<\/p>\n
Marcher dans les rues de La Valette donne l’impression de parcourir un mus\u00e9e en plein air avec en plus, ses jolis balcons color\u00e9s typiques. Je vous conseille de visiter les jardins d’Upper Barakka perch\u00e9s au-dessus du port. De plus, ne manquez pas la belle cath\u00e9drale Saint John et le Fort St Elmo qui vaut le coup d’\u00eatre visit\u00e9 notamment pour son Mus\u00e9e national de la guerre ainsi que pour sa vue sur le port.<\/p>\n

Les Trois Cit\u00e9s offrent un bel aper\u00e7u de l\u2019histoire de Malte. Vittoriosa ou II-Birgu (coordonn\u00e9es : 35.888320, 14.522595) est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme la plus ancienne fortification de l’\u00eele. La position strat\u00e9gique du fort et de la ville au cours des mill\u00e9naires a conduit certains \u00e0 appeler cette r\u00e9gion \u00ab le berceau de l\u2019histoire maltaise \u00bb. Vittoriosa fut la premi\u00e8re maison des Chevaliers lorsqu\u2019ils arriv\u00e8rent en 1530. De ce fait, elle contient de nombreuses richesses architecturales importantes. Les principaux points d’int\u00e9r\u00eats sont l\u2019\u00e9glise Saint-Laurent, le Palais de l\u2019Inquisiteur, l\u2019imposant Fort St. Angelo et le Mus\u00e9e maritime.<\/p>\n
Faisant aussi partie des Trois Cit\u00e9s, Cospiuca (coordonn\u00e9es \u00a0: 35.881114, 14.521736), \u00e9galement connu sous le nom de Bormla, est la plus grande des trois et se trouve juste en face de La Valette. L\u2019ancien chantier naval s\u2019\u00e9tend le long de la rive de Cospiuca qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 restaur\u00e9 pour devenir une marina. Je vous conseille de voir en particulier la porte Sainte-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne, la ligne de fortifications de Cottoner et la porte Notre-Dame.<\/p>\n
Enfin, Senglea (coordonn\u00e9es : 35.887641, 14.516754) \u00e9galement connu sous le nom de L-Isla a \u00e9t\u00e9 fortifi\u00e9e en 1551 par le Grand Ma\u00eetre Claude de la Sengle. La ville est connue pour ses superbes vues sur le port de La Valette depuis Safe Haven Gardens\u00a0\u00e0 Senglea Point. Cette tour de guet \u00e0 la pointe du bastion, connue sous le nom d\u2019Il-Gardjola, \u00e9tait le poste d’observation pour surveiller l\u2019entr\u00e9e du port.<\/p>\n

Marsaxlokk est un petit village de p\u00eacheurs, c\u00e9l\u00e8bre pour son port rempli de bateaux color\u00e9s. Ces bateaux de p\u00eache en bois sont appel\u00e9s “luzzu” en maltais. L\u2019\u0153il peint de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9 du bateau est une vieille coutume ph\u00e9nicienne qui a pour but de prot\u00e9ger les bateaux du mal. Le port comporte aussi un march\u00e9 aux poissons ouvert tous les dimanches. Pendant les autres jours de la semaine, c\u2019est un march\u00e9 plus touristique qui prend place. Enfin, ne manquer pas l\u2019\u00e9glise paroissiale de Notre-Dame de Pomp\u00e9i du XIXe si\u00e8cle, sur la place principale du village.<\/p>\n

La grotte bleue est une grotte marine longue de 43 m\u00e8tres et profonde d’environ 40 m\u00e8tres, accompagn\u00e9es de six autres grottes successives. Situ\u00e9e pr\u00e8s du village de Wied iz-Zurrieq,\u00a0des promenades en bateau sont organis\u00e9es pour visiter ces grottes, son arche massive de 30 m\u00e8tres de haut et contempler son eau azur par journ\u00e9es ensoleill\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Hagar Qim (\u0126a\u0121ar Qim) est probablement le site n\u00e9olithique le plus connu de Malte, il est d’ailleurs class\u00e9 sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l\u2019UNESCO<\/a><\/strong>. Ce site \u00e0 ne pas manquer pour les amateurs d’Histoire, comporte les ruines de 4 temples construits entre 3600 et 3200 av. J.-C., et dont les fouilles commenc\u00e8rent en 1839.<\/p>\n

Ancienne capitale de Malte, Mdina est une ville m\u00e9di\u00e9vale fortifi\u00e9e entour\u00e9e de bastions et situ\u00e9e strat\u00e9giquement sur une colline au centre de Malte. Mdina est aussi appel\u00e9e la \u00ab ville silencieuse \u00bb du fait de son atmosph\u00e8re calme et paisible. Lorsque la capitale de Malte a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9plac\u00e9e de Mdina \u00e0 La Valette, elle est devenue une ville presque d\u00e9serte. Mdina compte aujourd’hui environ 300 habitants. Les principaux sites \u00e0 visiter sont : le mus\u00e9e d’histoire naturelle, le palais de Vilhena, l’\u00e9glise et le prieur\u00e9 des carm\u00e9lites, le palais Falzon qui est un b\u00e2timent m\u00e9di\u00e9val bien conserv\u00e9 de 1495 et le spectaculaire palais Santa Sophia.<\/p>\n

La baie de Ghajn Tuffieha et celle de “Golden Bay” sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s parmi les plus belles plages de Malte. Les couleurs cuivr\u00e9es du sable et leurs hautes falaises cisel\u00e9es, en font de magnifiques plage brutes. La tour Ghajn Tuffieha construite en 1637 offre aussi une splendide vue depuis le haut de la falaise.\u00a0<\/p>\n
